Deanne's Biography
Deanne spent thirty years as an internationally known photographer. She taught in Canada, United States and Canada. During this time, she published several articles in photography journals and magazines. After retiring she has devoted her time to writing. She enjoys writing short stories and children’s stories.
Deanne grew up in Toronto and moved with her husband, Ernest (Tiger) Burch in 1964 to a primitive village eighty miles above the Arctic Circle in Alaska. Since1965, Deanne and her husband lived in several different places before settling permanently In Harrisburg. She lives in Lemoyne, Pa. and has three adult children who live in different parts of the country. Her husband is deceased.

Catherine's Biography
Catherine Spitzer Gebauer is an award-winning fine artist celebrated for her expressive plein air paintings that capture the beauty, emotion, and energy of the natural world. Working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, Catherine draws inspiration from sunsets, travel adventures, and the spirit of the people she encounters, translating those moments into vibrant, story-filled works of art.
Her work has earned top honors at the Art Association of Harrisburg, including First Prize in Watercolors (2025), Best in Show (2025), and Second Prize awards in both Watercolors and Oils (2024). Catherine’s paintings were also featured in the Southern Allegheny Museum of Art’s “Spirit of Place” exhibit inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.
Her art is displayed at David’s Interiors showrooms throughout Central Pennsylvania, where she recently served as Featured Artist for Gallery Walk in Mechanicsburg. She has exhibited solo collections, including Adventures in Italy.
A former attorney turned full-time artist, Catherine holds degrees from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and the University of Richmond School of Law. She is currently illustrating two children’s books, one to be distributed globally by Barnes & Noble, and continues to explore new creative directions with gratitude for the people and places that fuel her artistic spirit.
